COURSE OUTLINE

Who Should Enrol Into This Qualification?

This qualification is designed for operational administration job roles within the Transport and logistics Industry.

It provides students/employees with the skills required to:

A qualification for those engaged in logistics operations within the Transport and lOgistics Industry. It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, where some discretion and judgement is required in the selection of equipment, services or contigency measures and within known time constraints. It may also include responsibility for coordinating the work of others.

Jobe roles and titles vary across different sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:

  • Logistics Administration Officer
  • Logistics Service Clerk

Delivery Methods

  • Distance – preferably online otherwise with workbooks
  • Students to complete reading and required work either via the online portal or with their workbook
  • Students will complete project work and withdrawal log if they are trainees
  • Trainer will have monthly contact with the student and the workplace supervisor if the student is a trainee
  • Trainer will assess on site, provide tasks and time frames to be completed, provide support and assistance, and follow up on progress between visits
  • Classroom – as above however the reading / workbook will be completed in class

Qualification Rules

To achieve a Certificate III in Logistics 12 units must be completed.

A successful assessment outcome for a total of 12 units of competency comprising:

  • 1 core unit
  • 6 technical elective units
  • 5 elective units
