COURSE OUTLINE

Who Should Enrol Into This Qualification?

Mint Training delivers the Certificate IV in Hospitality to students/ employees who have or seek a supervisory role in the hospitality industry. Leaders working in various hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops will benefit from this course. Students/employees who complete this course will be able to:

  • Lead teams
  • Supervise staff
  • Develop rosters
  • Coach staff in their duties
  • Induct new staff

The course is aimed at anyone in a leadership role working in hospitality including:

  • Bar supervisors
  • Food and beverage supervisors
  • Team leaders.

Delivery Methods

  • Distance – preferably online or with workbooks
  • Students to complete reading and required work either via the online portal or with their workbook
  • Students will complete project work and withdrawal log
  • Trainer will have monthly contact with the student and the workplace supervisor
  • Depending on the delivery method chosen trainer can assess on site, provide tasks and time frames to be completed, provide support and assistance, and follow up on progress between visits.
  • Classroom – as above however the reading / workbook will be completed in class

Qualification Rules

To achieve a Certificate IV in Hospitality, 26 units must be completed:

  • 14 core units
  • 12 elective units
