Who Should Enrol Into This Qualification?

Mint Training delivers the Certificate IV in Retail Management to students/employees working in retail and are, or want to be, in leadership positions. Leading people in retail requires strong communication, planning and supervisory skills.

Students/employees who complete this course will be able to:

• Determine effective business leadership, merchandising and safety aspects of their business
• Develop and implement financial management reports
• Undertake performance reviews for, people management and inventory control
• Lead and manage teams
• Manage suppliers and business relationships to maximise the return    to their business
• Manage marketing, visual merchandising and store presentation strategies.

The course is aimed at anyone in a frontline customer relations role in a retail environment including:

• Retail business owners
• Retail store managers
• Wholesale managers
• Department managers
• Visual merchandise managers

Delivery Methods

• Distance – preferably online or with workbooks
• Students to complete reading and required work either via the online portal or with their workbook
• Students complete project work and withdrawal log
• Trainer will have monthly contact with the student and the workplace supervisor
• Trainer can assess on site, provide tasks and time frames to be completed, provide support and assistance, and follow up on progress between visits
• Classroom – as above however the reading / workbook will be completed in class

Qualification Rules

To achieve a Certificate IV in Retail Management, 10 units must be completed:

• 3 core units
• 7 elective units
