COURSE OUTLINE

Who Should Enrol Into This Qualification?

The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is designed to deliver the skills and knowledge required to become a Workplace Trainer. This course develops knowledge for future Vocational Education and Training (VET) professionals so they can deliver qualifications across their area of industry expertise.

The course covers:

  • Understanding the VET system
  • Developing training resources
  • Delivering training
  • Assessing workplace competence
  • Evaluating training

Delivery Methods

  • Distance – preferably online or with workbooks if you are currently working in this field or have experience.
  • Students to complete reading and required work either via the online portal or with their workbook
  • Students complete project work and withdrawal log
  • Trainer will have monthly contact with the student and the workplace supervisor
  • Depending on the delivery method chosen trainer can assess on site, provide tasks and time frames to be completed, provide support and assistance, and follow up on progress between visits
  • Classroom – as above however the reading / workbook will be completed in class (clients must book these classes).

Qualification Rules

To achieve a Cert IV in Training & Assessment 10 units must be completed.

  • 7 core units
  • 3 elective units
